Chunda Valley - Skardu
Chunda is one of the most favorite tourist spots in Skardu. It is a spectacular valley in Skardu city only a short distance of about one hour's drive from Skardu downtown. Chunda is a hilly village located 500m above Skardu town, Chunda has a spectacular view of the whole of Skardu City.
Spring blossom season in Gilgit-Baltistan is the best season to visit the Chunda Valley and witness the area filled with so many colors of different kinds of fruit-bearing plants.
The spring blossom season starts early in Late February and continues till the end of April in Gilgit-Baltistan. It begins in Chilas District and Gilgit District in late February and ends at the last valleys of District Ghanche in Baltistan. At the foothills of the Siachen Glacier, Kondos Valley will be the last to observe the blossom around the end of April.
In sum, Chunda Valley is one of the best must-visit places in Skardu. Except for its beauty, the viewpoint of the whole of Skardu city.
